Your pet has to be fully house trained and up to date with their vaccinations and flea and worm treatments.

If you would like to take your dog off leash, our off-leash area is on the other side of our property. Next to the swimming pool path, there is another path. Please follow that path and you will see the fenced dog area. Your dog is also allowed to be off leash anywhere outside that fenced area on that side of the property (approx. 1 acre) but it is not fenced.

Please be aware that we might have other guests staying with dogs too when taking your dog to the off-leash area. Please make sure you only let your dog off-leash when you are confident that your dog is friendly to other dogs.

Please do not leave your pet alone in the cottage or on the property for any length of time.

Pets are allowed inside but keep your pet off the furniture or bed.

Pets are not allowed at the swimming pool area. However, you can put your dog on a leash and leave the dog on the grassed area outside the pool gate. Or as long as your dog is not disturbing other guests and your dog is comfortable with being alone, you can leave the dog in the fenced area of your cottage. Please make sure the cottage door and gate are closed.

On request we offer pet minding services starting from $30 per pet sit.

We provide a towel for your dog. Do not use other towels to dry or clean your pet’s paws.

Be sure to keep your pet on a leash/carrier if the pet is outside the cottage’s fenced area.

In consideration for other guests, please clean up after your pet.

Owner takes responsibility and assures pet(s) are up to date with flea treatments. We strongly advise the pet(s) have a current tick treatment including the paralysis tick.

If your room requires excessive cleaning or if damages are incurred as a result of your pet’s actions, there will be extra charges.

We count on you to prevent your pet from making excessive noise, being disruptive or aggressive to other guests. If your pet is deemed dangerous, harmful or disruptive, management has sole discretion to require you to find other accommodation. The management also reserves the right to contact animal control to have a pet removed.

The owner of the pet(s) is responsible for all damage whilst on the property. Sunshine Valley Cottages does not assume any liability for a guest’s pet or his/her action while staying at Sunshine Valley Cottages.
