THE EXPERIENCE
The Deck Cafe Lovedale is a dog friendly cafe located at Gartelmann Wines in Hunter Valley. It is a stylish restaurant-style cafe open 7 days for breakfast and lunch. The cafe is set amongst young forest bushland, overlooking a picturesque dam providing a calm, relaxing atmosphere. Dogs are welcome to join you at the verandah, which provides shade during those hot summer days. Your pooch is offered his/her own “tasting” bowl.
If the weather gets super toasty, ask if your pooch is allowed briefly to cool down at the dam next door.

It states that it is dog friendly cafe but more likely dog allowed cafe if you have to bring them! One of the waiting staff mentioned about dog hair allergy for other customer and i should be more conscious about it. I’ve never heard of such a comment in dog friendly cafe and it ruined my time there because i was busy empty my dish and left as soon as i can..
Love this place! I visited the Deck Cafe with my human parents on a super hot day (like over 40C hot). Although the deck was nice and shady it was still too much. Luckily the owners allowed me to go for a swim on the pond in front of the cafe, which simply made my day! I heard the brekkie was excellent as well!
Our new favorite breakfast place in the Hunter. Warm welcome for both us and the Puppies. The puppies were provided treats and water. Delicious food and great atmosphere.
