James Hilder Reserve is a small 24h dog park in Surry Hills. As this reserve is very small you might opt to visit much larger off leash area at the Harmony Park located only a few blocks away.

Nice park with plenty of local pups to play with. It’s not very big so maybe ball fetching for larger breeds is better to do elsewhere

The best dog park in Sydney! This park has it all, it’s a huge off leash dog park. It has a great walking track, places for the dogs to swim and a great cafe! You meet lots of great doggies and their owners everytime we go!

24h dog park in Rosebery. Only suitable for very small dogs as the area is very small. Turruwul Park next to it is not an official off lead area.

I don’t think we’ll be back! The offical off leash area is tiny and it’s squished up next to a tennis court which is not dog friendly. The main park is also busy around lunch time with fitness groups using the park so it’s a bit crowded for both people and dogs. It’s not fenced in and quite close to a kids playground as well, so these are some considerations if your dog’s not great with kids. There are poo bags which is good but no drinking station. Bring a bowl or bottle and fill up from the tap. Also there isn’t much grass and the park benches could do with some maintenance. Parking in the area is also difficult.
