Large off lead Dog Friendly Beach from Bellambi Rock Pool down to where Bellambi Lake flows into the ocean. Great spot for play, swim and walk your pup.

Beach was not that sandy as I had hoped. It was quiet and we enjoyed exploring the rock pools, but preferred McCauley’s beach a little to the North.

This is my favourite beach. My humans live it too because it is good for them to swim as well.
Sometimes very busy but luckily it is big enough for everyone to share. -
Lovely beach, clean, very pretty. Not a huge beach, but a good size. Plenty of street parking when we were there. We had lots of fun in the creek and lagoon which is perfect for swimming.
No fresh water, so need to bring your own

Off leash is south of Surfers Rd all the way to Terrigal Lagoon. Good long stretch of beach.
If you or your dog prefer calmer waters, then Terrigal lagoon has good swimming options. -

I went on holiday to Hardy Bay and every day we went to Putty Beach. The weather wasn’t super hot so we had the whole beach to ourselves a lot of the time (although I suspect it never gets very crowded). We did meet a few other dogs and their people, including 3 enormous hounds. There is lots of parking near the dog-friendly section and then just a short walk to the sand and shore. I highly recommend a trip to this area to check out the beach and nearby cafes at Hardy Bay, whether for a day trip or a few nights away at one of the dog friendly holiday rentals. Woof, Jelly the dog.
