Our names are Leesa and Nilza, we are a part of a small dachshund group in the hunter and crazy dachshund mums. We’re hosting for the first time in the Hunter area Dachshtober Longdog Festival. This event not only helps raise funds to support IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Degeneration) in Dachshunds, but it also will raise awareness for our cause across the community. We are going to have dachshund races (The Longdog Dash), fancy dress competitions for dogs and owners. Info stalls on pet insurance, vet care etc

We have stalls for pet food, harnesses, clothing (anything dachshund it will be there). We will have a doggie bar so our furry friends can have a bite to eat and a sip of something sweet. A pamper pooch parlour where they can get their nails clipped, wash and blow dry and owners can be educated on nail care for their pampered pooch. But don’t forget the owners too, there will be food and drink on site and face painting for the kids.
