Scotland Island dog swim race | Dog Event in Church Point
THE EXPERIENCE
Scotland Island dog swim race is an annual dog event that has been organised every year since 1974. And it hasn’t changed a bit. Registrations to the race are taken between 2.30pm – 5.00pm with the entry fee of 1 cold longneck and 1 large tin of dog food. Participants and then transported to Scotland Island to race back with their dogs @ 6.00pm to Church Point, which is always full of cheering supporters, some of whom have been reserving the best picnic spots since the early afternoon.
All participants are celebrated for participation but there is always a winner who will take home heaps of longnecks and dog food.
You simply have to witness this largest dog swim/paddle event in Australia, maybe in the world!
